Autumn in Plitvice Photo

Photographer’s Note

This scene was taken minutes from our hotel overlooking the lakes. The boats take the tourists to the various jetties that lead to the various walks.The park is enormous and I cannot remember on which lake I took this shot.Unfortunately the sky was overcast most of the day, but the autumn colours were spectacular nevertheless.

Hello Klaudio, autumn,spring or summer Plitvice is wonderful place! Good shot from the dock:) You are right, only the clouds are missing.

What a wonderful surprise! I thought it was nice in the thumbnail, however when I opened it up, man, it's much nicer! Excellent sharpness and depth of field! Colors are natural and very beautiful! The control of luminosity was pretty effectively done and it worked perfectly in this superb autumnal image! I really liked everything!

The colours are indeed quite spectacular. My only suggestion would to have cropped it to more of a panoramic and cut out the sky and its reflection at the bottom.

Ah the magical autumn colors! We wanted very much to go there but we couldn't because of the limited time, but the next time this is my first destination.

Zdravo dragi Dado,

morao bih da pogađam da ova mirna voda pripada Plitvicama. Izabrao si poseban motiv, miran, romantičan i prepun divnih jesenjih boja. Tako je bilo pre dve godine, tako je verovatno i ovog oktobra. Lepa slika ionako prelepog kutka na ovoj planeti. Bilo mi je zadovoljstvo da to pogledam. Puno te pozdravljam,

Hi Klaudio, I like the range of autumn colours caught here. Good inclusion of the stand of green conifers in the middle. I'm with Dyerco on the cropping, except that I may have left the reflection of the sky in, to get the horizon further off the centre. cheers, Steve

For me one of the best autumn shots from the European season so far. I like your balanced composition using the reflection plus the POV across the water. Yes, a bright blue sky with fluffy clouds would have added to the shot but the elements captured shine for themselves. Such a wonderful range of colours in the trees, very special. The little boats, and the wooden boathouse add the finishing touch.
Very pretty image.

The sharpness is very nice and the title and the overwhelming orange goes well together. I relly like the central position of the boats as I think the 'rule of thirds' does not apply to this fine composition.

This is a wonderful autumn photo with superb colours! In addition to the really amazing shades of colours of the trees the reflections on the lake surface are very beautiful too. The jetty and the boats complete the composition nicely. Excellent clarity and sharpness. My compliments!

a very beautiful antumn shot of autumnal colors.
and the reflections on the rippled water look more tasteful than real trees.
a little weak light and a little cold air on the lake make so comfortable atmosphere in this image.
