Photographer’s Note

Plitvice Lakes count among Europe's most beautiful national parks. They are situated in the mountainous region of Lika, Croatia. A total of 16 lakes lying at different altitutes are separated by travertine barriers and linked by foamy waterfalls and cascades. Their creation is a scientific phenomenon. As the geological processes continue today the lakes and waterfalls are continually changing.
The beauty of the lakes and caves, forests and meadows, creeks, rivers and cascades as well as a rich flora and fauna are a magnet for tourists from around the world.

Czesc!
O, witaj sasiedzie dzisiejszy. A, znam to, znam... Bylo sie w Chorwacji i slynne jeziora ogladalem. Bardzo piekne widoki. A jaka woda jest czysta! Tyle, ze wtedy jeszcze nie mialem cyfrowki. Sliczny widoczek.

Hallo Georg,
a beautiful place, well captured. That green, white and grey composition has so many details by the falls and rocks, a pleasure to look at. Wonderful POV to see different heights. I hear the sound of the falls.

Hi Georg,
Seems like f/2.8 was too wide open to get a good sharpness alll around, but the pov is great and the view with all these greens very refreshing !

Hi Georg,
A splendid view of these scenic falls and lake. The cascading rivulets are alluring and the water hue well appreciated. My only suggestion here would be to make the photo smaller because you lose resolution at this size because of the high number of pixels used with nature shots that display much greenery - such as leaves and grasses. Because of the restriction as to size on the TE site its hard for nature photographers to obtain the proper resolution without reducing drastically the size of the photo. Still a very pleasing shot...later.

Hello Georg, I like much the spray of the fall and this multitude of green colour which abound, it is really a superb decoration or the light perfect and is well distributed there on the whole of the image, a very beautiful framing for a view from above which emphasizes well these cascades which are taken of a point placed well dominating this idyllic place well, in a friendly way..........................Bonjour Georg, J'aime beaucoup les embruns de la chute et cette multitude de teinte verte qui foisonnent, c’est vraiment un superbe décor ou la lumière y est parfaite et bien répartie sur l’ensemble de l'image,

Piekne miejsce, bardzo fajnie pokazane. Podoba mi sie zapelnienie kadru i niesamowity kolor wody otoczonej zielenia. Ludzie w lewym gornym rogu dobrze pokazuja skale tych wodospadow.

Gdzie¶ ju¿ widzia³em podobny kadr z tego miejsca, ale Ty znakomicie pokaza³e¶ ca³± gamê zieleni a¿ po turkusy skryte pod powierzchniami ma³ych jeziorek. Cudowne miejsce, przeorane bia³ymi grzywami wodospadów i szaro¶ci± oraz biel± nagich ska³. Piêkny kadr, super kolory i ³adna jako¶æ.

Plitvice is really an amazing place. I visited it but obviously may camera wall only a 1.5 Mb poor quality camera. Your shot is highly better than mine.

What a beautiful place, it looks like it has a great photo op at every turn. I love the bright greens and the shadows. The people on the walkway in the back give it some perspective, WOW! I wish I was there enjoying this lovely place, TFS, well done.

Za rok tez bede mial takie foty w kolekcji, bo wakacje w Chorwacji maja byc... Na razie musze zazdroscic innym miejsca i samych fotek:) Noi a te na prawde piekne... Same Jeziora Plitwickie podobno bajka - widac z reszta na obrazku... Extra ujecie, super kolorki, nic tylko czekac do wakacji:)

You talk about lakes but the water flow as well. So, I believe there is a river connecting the lakes. The picture is of excellent quality, very sharp, good colours and very well composed. I love it and I would like to visit the place. Well done.
