Bike on the Meadow, a photo from Licko-Senjska, Coast

Photographer's Note

After the driveway gravel road by the marvelous forests and meadows of wild, uninhabited mountains Pljesavica we reach the end of the great pass Srpski Klanac, where on flowery meadow we erect the tent. For about 30 km from the village on our route to the pass Frka¶iæ not met a single person. These mountains are really marvelous beauty, and although twice we saw signs warning of mines, nothing else like the recent, bloody war between Serbs and Croats. It's the Krajina, a place infamous heavy fighting and ethnic cleansing during the Civil War. We have seen for this deer, boars, squirrels and lots of birds.

Hello Jozef, very nice photo of these lovely floresillas filled meadows, with beautiful pine trees in the background, the bike gives you contrast and color to the scene. This is a charming, idyllic photograph. The colours are strong without being over-saturated; the bike is a quirky but necessary addition and the foreground flowers are beautiful. It may not be quite pin-sharp, but if you used a flat-bed scanner instead of a dedicated film/slide scanner, that's probably the reason (although the "sharpness" so often praised on this site can only be guessed at, given the tiny file sizes allowed and the consequent artificial sharpening that is needed).

A pleasant composition , of this bike perfectly placed in the splendid flowery meadow . I like especially the strong and vivid colors . The only minor default is the fact you've cropped the top of the tree in the BG .

Hallo Jozef. Ein Fahrrad auf der Blumenwiese. Wahrlich ein interessantes Foto. Es läßt viel Raum für Phantasie. Da kann ich nur sagen: gut gemacht.
