The Escape of the Cat Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was "studying" the geometry of this spot in the old town of Labin, and the cat was having fun in interfering, going up and down all the time, so I finally decided to include it in the composition.

Labin (pop. 9,000) is located in the interior of the Istrian peninsula, on top of one of the hills roughly between Opatija and Pula.

So most people stick to the attractive coastal towns and resorts, but the interior of the peninsula has some gems worth visiting too.

Hello Daniel,
this looks like a photo which has a hidden meaning now, with the new version of TE) - especially taking into account the title of it :)
Great photo, it looks very dynamic - maybe because everything looks a little blurry, and the cat looks more or less very "sharpened". I like the composition and the moment very much!

Great and amusing photo! Well framed, and I like the splashes of colour in the corners. Interesting theme too - the cat has a look of determination on its face.

you panned the cat and yet showed the beautiful stairs. the colors are fantastic, and the cat seems not to be convinced he is a cat. In his head he is a true lion!

The cat is welcome for your superb picture, Daniel, but the corner is also the real inspiration. I like the play of the lines and the saturation of colors. You must have the nice souvenirs from Croatia. So glad to see it.

yes, the cat makes the photo and I gess was hard to catch him ,he seems move quicklY..

Also a gem and the slight unsharpness is a minor problem as the com is leading us to the kitten and make the image filled of motion.
