A few years back somebody started to assemble the stones making a kind of sculpture park.
Now it has become almost a tradition. Every year, people rebuild the sculptures in different forms all over again after the winter winds and storms destroy them. (www.inforovinj.com)

What a lovely idea! Excellent capture of this impromptu sculpture park. I like the light and colours and the superb foreground detail. Good idea to include the patch of vegetation in the left foreground; it adds a nice splash of contrast tone and texture.

Une chose est certaine, ce ne sont pas les roches qui manquent pour tenter le jeu de la sculpture esquimaude sur cette plage pas trop bonne pour les pieds.

It's interesting! They like sand sculpture on beach, but only in small stones. This is a very nice picture. Thanks for sharing.

Good evening Agnes,
Fabulous stones sculptures taken from a low perspective, that allow to appreciate the stoney beach and the bay over.
Fine clarity and depth on image.

you have done ever so well to compose an interesting shot from so many piles of rocks.
The variation in designs help to add a little drama to a scene that has a really nice depth.
Best regards Les.

Seems like someone had much fun making cairns and other stone compositions here. Now the place looks more of a sanctuary than of a beach, and your fine POV gives us a good glimpse of this artwork park. The muted colours and greyish tonalities give a melancholy atmosphere to the scene. A very interesting and lovely photo.

Well here is a little surrealism of your own - I like these crazy beach sculptures. At first glance I thought they were some kind of graveyard! They do something original and creative with natures own materials. Thanks for sharing.

Wow what an unusual place. I have seen these stone stacks, but never so many in the one place. I like the grey/blue tones alot and your excellent sharpness has brought out the wonderful textures in of the stone piles and the rocky beach.

Interesting beach scene, artistic rock creations along the rocky waterfront. And most amazing the arches, free standing, apparently with 'keystones' to keep upright.
Croatia has more to offer than the typical tourist and historical sites.
Thanks for sharing,

I've seen similar "sculptures" and cairns in many locations, both on stony beaches and in mountain regions. I can't decide whether I like them or whether they impinge on the natural beauty of the scenes. For me, it's a bit like love-locks: a fad that's mushroomed and begins to despoil the environment. But I've taken photographs of both! I like your shot even though the light is a bit flat. You've seen that too, and to add drama and contrast I think you've either used an ND grad to darken the sky, or darkened the top third in post-production, probably the latter. Maybe the resultant gloomy quality adds to the atmosphere...
