Photographer’s Note

This is a documentary shot of just an average photographic value, but it shows well the characteristics of Mirna river upper stream.

From Kotle to Buzet Mirna flows through a wild valley, a true canyon. We expected to hike there down by cart-roads and paths, but found none. As we usually do, we started to wade down in Kotle, but soon it turned out that it's hard to leave the river bed. And yet, on some places ponds were deep, so we had troubles to get through not to become wet. And there are a few cascades too, a detour of one of them required us to ascend and descend some 200altitude meters of slopes. But all in one, it was a nice hike & wade.

We left a car near Buzet, made a long biking tour around the hills, left bikes in Kotle, waded down, and finally picked-up bikes with a car.
