this sweet photo I made while I was at field trip with my universtiy;
this is a girl that is with me at my department and she loves dogs...so when she saw this one they were both really happy...dog expecially...
thoses of you who have been in Dubrovnik there's one bad thing that some should know about some leading people there;
just before the sesson had to start sudenlly town was just without street dogs...
can you believe that?
they just sweeped them over the night.
I was there some time after this happened ... some people told me this tragic and non-human story.
the whole town was under big influence cause of this terrible thing...
...for the dogs...

Great capture of the face of the girl, looking at the dog.
Thanks for share.

A nice dynamic B&W composition Ana - really well framed - some people might like the whole dog (and whole dogs are good) but I think it works nicely as it is.
best wishes Kev

It is very sad learning about those dogs. SO are there any street dogs left now? Very nice and cute capture, nice point of view and natural expressions.

wow! cool b&w! I love the nice wide angle. Great composition too. Was this a film photo developed in a dark room? There is a halo around the girl which reminds me of darkroom processing. I like it though. Very nice!! JP

Such a sad story and so much suffering for the poor animals, let's just hope they died without much suffering. Animal abuse is a problem pretty much everywhere, but I can imagine in some places there is even less resources to deal with the problem.
Love the photo Ana, shows so much care and happiness in both of them, a very special moment for this dog, the dog probably was one of the thousands terminated that day.
I gather you had a choice between cutting off his leg or her head, IMO you made a right choice, your pov is very good.
Love the image.

A very beautiful image, and a terribly sad one at the same time.
About the photo: you have caught these two in a really great moment, where the dog's pleasure is so obvious. The light and detail are wonderful.
About the story: this is awful cruelty. Many of my pets have been street animals (like my dog now) and it is so wonderful to give them a home and to make sure they have the kind of security and health and good food that they never had living on their own. That is what they deserve, not what was done here.
Best wishes (for you and the dogs),
P.S. I have a theme "Dog Day Afternoon," for dog lovers, and I've added this image to it. Luckily most of the images are happy ones.
