Photographers Note
I guess, it is time to upload a full contrast, dark, grainy and B&W photo from sunny and lively Dubrovnik, assisted with overmeaningful lyrics :P
Hope you like it anyway.
edit pp note after francine's critique: cropped from original size, increased contrast, voila! here you are the natural fine size ISO 1600 grains.
...........
I am a man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when it's dark.
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have constant fear that something's always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
Have you run your fingers down the wall
And have you felt your neck skin crawl
When you're searching for the light ?
Sometimes when you're scared to take a look
At the corner of the room
You've sensed that something's watching you.
Have you ever been alone at night
Thought you heard footsteps behind
And turned around and no-one's there ?
And as you quicken up your pace
You find it hard to look again
Because you're sure there's someone there
Watching horror films the night before
Debating witches and folklore
The unknown troubles on your mind
Maybe your mind is playing tricks
You sense,and suddenly eyes fix
On dancing shadows from behind.
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear, thought you heard
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there.
When I'm walking a dark road
I am a man who walks alone
Iron Maiden, Fear of the Dark lyrics

I would say the title and lyrics fits to the pic like a glove (btw I love Iron Maiden too.....)
and then...you go your own personal way...a hidden dark dubrovnik....the other side of a sunny holiday paradise.
the idea is good..the result better

HI Deniz, you have created a very mysterious mood. Ilove the texture and the shot against the lihgt to produce this sillhouette. Thanks for sharing...Alex

Merhaba Denniz.
For sure, a picture you could easily take in the Barcelona gothic quartier at night.
The dark atmopshere and the "fear" you created in the picture are great!
My compliments!

I like that you were trying, and achieving, this kind of shot even at a tourist destination like Dubrovnik... I like how you composed with the silhouette on the side - and the impressive shadow on the floor...

bir korku filminin sahnesinden kesit,başlık da ondan alınmış gibi :p
Grenler son derece etkili,gölge ve ışık da çok başarılı.
Selamlarla,

hi deniz
Again a very nice special feel here, we're pulled to the right by the black wall and then anchored and righted by the silhouette and shadow of the guy. It really works.

Wow !
Strong and very emotional.
Makes me think of illustrations in the book on psychiatry's subject - you know: some examples of art works chosen.
The B&W and grain are divine here.
