Photographer’s Note

Just a detail but a famous one... Back to some photo-tourism with this famous detail of the ramparts of Dubrovnik, a classic, and I tried my version of this classic.
Editing:
In fact, the color version is not that great, and when I tried B&W, the contrast of the white stone against the background popped up. I cropped a thin part of the sky.

Hello JC,

Une photographie minimaliste au niveau de la compo et de la présentation des lieux. Elle a le mérite de nous inciter à en savoir plus sur cette ville. Le choix du noir et blanc était judicieux vu le temps pas très bénéfique.

C'est pas que j'aime plus le jaune mais un petit N&B cela change de l'ordinaire.

Bonsoir, cher JC,
Le choix du noir et blanc est fort bien choisi pour valoriser ce magnifique paysage. Le contraste donne un très bel effet avec la tourelle d'angle située au premier plan.
La forêt recouvrant ces falaises augmente la joliesse de l'ensemble.
Très belle mise en image.

just a detail, but what a beautiful one!!! Unusual framing and composition, with your main subject on the edge of the frame, but it works perfectly well, in fact the result is very impressive! Great focus and depth of field, perfect choice of b&w! congratulations!

After all the green and yellow I can imagine you chose her for Black & White. A good and original choice here.
Indeed the white of the ramparts contrast beautifully against the dark grey of the water and the wood.

The choice for B&W was an excellent one. The contrast is very strong thanks to the little white tower and the white rocks. I find the composition good too. Thanks for sharing!
