[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Nesebar is an ancient city on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, located in Nesebar municipality, Burgas Province. Nesebar has on several occasions found itself on the frontier of a threatened empire, and as such it is a town with a rich history. The ancient part of the town is situated on a peninsula connected to the mainland by a man-made isthmus, and it bears evidence of occupation by a variety of different civilisations over the course of its existence.

Architectural design is typical of the Black Sea coast house - stone basement, paneled upper floor, numerous bay windows, supported by corbels.

Its abundance of historic buildings prompted UNESCO to inscribe Nesebar on its list of World Heritage Sites in 1983.

Hi Tatiana,

A very unusually lit street, which adds to the overall structure of the shot. The zig-zagging roofs and their shadow are very good.

I think this must be a scan, from 2000! What an interesting looking town, and an interesting composition. The contrast is a bit strong, of the light falling on the cobblestones, but the photo captures an afternoon kind of quietness in the neighbourhood. Unusual houses, as you describe them. Your notes give a very good explanation.

Beautiful little alley.
I like how the walls are lit by the reflecting light.
Overexposed street part turns out to be quite interesting, making a symmetric counterpart to the sky.

Very nice photo... photos including the streets with very dark and almost white parts are very diifficult to be well done. This one is, but maybe the quality of picture could be a bit better.

Hola Tatiana

Has realizado una imagen con un encuadre perfecto, el formato vertical es el mas acertado en este tipo de fotografía, pero hay varios aspectos que veo y creo no son correctos, la imagen está algo desenfocada y tanto el cielo con una zona del suelo están bastante sobreexpuestos (quemada), imagino que será a causa del tratamiento digital con algún programa informático, si es así le diste demasiado contraste y por eso dio ese resultado.
