A gypsy boy driving a horse cart in Dragalevtsi. The first historical records of the Gypsy reaching south-eastern Europe are from the 14th century. They came from north west India. They must face many persecutions, it reached a peak during World War II when the genocide was perpetrated by the Nazis during the Holocaust. They are also called Tzigan, Bohemian, indian, rom. In France poele and manouche. In Europe the most important populations live in Romania. Source : wiki

I see this boy is not so glad with your idea to take this photo ;) Yes, in Russian language it means Tzigan too. I have met them in Bulgaria and Slovakia too.

Interesantan tekst i trenutak ...
Dobar trenutak snimka i kontrast, lepe boje.
Dobar rad, lepo pokazan trenutak.
I kod mene cigani-romi skupljaju sirovine.
Prijatno vece i sve najbolje.
Interesting text and instant ...
Good time recording and contrast, beautiful colors.
Good work, beautiful moment is shown.
And in my Gypsy-Roma expensive raw materials.
Good evening and all the best.

A very nice photo of the horse drawn cart against a backdrop of modern buildings and riding on a modern asphalt road. Great contrast of technologies recorded. It would be perfect if the cropping on the right were a bit more relaxed, and included the rear of the cart.
Some would not like this, but I appreciate the graininess of the photo.
Merry Christmas to you and to your loved ones!

As mentioned in the other comments, the way you have captured this man and cart against the backdrop of the modern structures is very nicely done, its an excellent contrast to show that the world may change, but the peoples and their traditions may not. The horse of s beautiful animal, and you caught him perfectly in mid stride. The man does look quite surprised at your camera!

Good evening Miguel,
Nicely combined the old wooden cart, with modern dwellings on the BG.
From my childhood I remember such carts with horses
galloping the main-streets of Givatayim, my hometown.
Fine taken while on the move.

This is an interesting photo commenting on a difficult problem in modern Europe, where the Roma people live very tough lives on the outskirts of societies, in many countries denied the rights that everyone else takes for granted. They are persecuted by fascist groups and governments alike. I doubt that this man lives in any of the modern flats in these buildings.
A good snap-shot with a fine focus and good colours.

Nice mix of old and new in your composition. I like the way you have shown a horse drawn cart against the backdrop of these modern buildings. The cart is also a mix of new and old...it has a old wood body but modern rubber tires with axle :-). The Gypsy has made good eye contact with your camera. His expression is also intriguing ...was he happy or irritated?

Interesting scene with the horse drawn cart contrasting with modern multi storied background, and the cart has auto tires.

Yes, it is a very good combination of old and new - with beautiful colors and clarity.
Very interestingly, the boy is carrying some 'old' items, perhaps to destroy. I take this photo as welcoming of the new, replacing the old.
Good thinking before the new year!
With best wishes,

Ummm seems the driver is not happy with you taken a photo, it seems
Like the great contrast of modern building and traditional transport, also seen at Buenos Aires streets
Semms you were in a hurried missing the end of the cart, but this is street capture
Interesting note, wishing a great Sunday

Hello dear friend
this shot shows a different kind of transport
and brings mmories from the past
its very suprising and impressive the
dynamic contrast between this horse cart
and the impressive buildings in the
background according to your useful notes
they called Tzigans as in Greece Τσιγγανοι
have a nice new week
