Photographer’s Note

This photo doesn't aim at any artistic achievements. It's neither a famous building or a famous place. It's just a documentary of a typical Bulgarian village house by the source of the river Cherni Osam - a tributary to the Danube River. The village is also called Cherni Osam after the river, which runs under a bridge at the turn of the road. Cherni Osam means Black Eight, because the river meandres as the digit "8" down in the Danube Valey. The village has 1000 inhabitants.

As you see - these days carts are seldomly used. So, the owner of the house has left his cart on the road for quite a long time, blocking the bus stop, but obviously he doesn't care - mountain people are sometimes rather anarchist minded;-)
