Of course you're right lara. This particular one lies underneath the newish part of Veliko Tarnovo, the town which was the capital of Bulgaria during the Second Bulgarian Empire. It lies on three hills, connected by a motorway - Tsarevets, Trapezitsa and Sveta Gora.
The tunnels you've mentioned is probably these of Vitinya Pass which connects Northern Bulgaria with Southern Bulgaria

Interesting shot. Some intersting tunnels in Bulgaria. I know there are a few outside Sofia.
