Photographer’s Note
"The Quiet Nest Palace" was built between 1926 and 1937 during the Romanian administration of Balchik. It was Queen Mary's favourite castle, and consists of a number of residential villas, a smoking hall, a power station, a wine cellar, a monastery, a holy spring, a chapel and other buildings. The parks is is today a state-run botanical garden.
