Photographer’s Note
Thracian dolmen in the area of town of Topolovgrad, near the village of Hlebovo (the beg. of 1-st mill. BC). A dolmen is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb, usually consisting of three or more upright stones (megalith). Dolmens were usually covered with earth or smaller stones to form a barrow, though in many cases that covering has weathered away, leaving only the stone "skeleton" of the burial mound intact.

Good morning,Elitsa!
You show us a really worth-seeing and impressive place - in a favourablelight, but unfortunately the picture isn't as sharp as possible. Nevertheless, thank you for showing this!
Greetings from Germany - and have a nice weekend!

Hello,
This is a very interesting picture. We have these structures in Denmark as well, but these stones in your picture are actually shaped. In Denmark they are generally just as they were found in the field and simply balanced on top of each other. Your photo very nicely shows the construction of the stones here. Well done.
Sincerely,
Kate
