The Lonely Tree Photo

Photographer’s Note

Behind this lonely tree is Veleka river. The river meanders through the virgin nature of the Strandzha mountain before flowing into the Black Sea. Its mouth is particularly beautiful for the way the river sinks underground to flow into the sea beneath a relatively wide strip of sand. The mouth of Veleka is only 4km south of Ahtopol and at the very northern end of the village of Sinemorets.

Fine landscape shot! Like the way you composed with the dominating tree and the Veleka River in the BG. The light is beautiful as evidenced from the grass & the sky. Did you do HDR here as well?

Beautifully composed image from an excellent POV. The different layers of sky really attract my attention, so too the vivid green grass and rolling hills. I love being able to just make out the ocean through the mist.
Lucky whoever cleared this land had the good sense to leave at least one tree.
A superb image.
