The town of Nesebar/Nessebar/Nessebyr is situated on the Black Sea Shore, 36 km northeast of Burgas. It is a one of the most prominent tourist destinations and seaports on the Black Sea,
The town was established more than 3200 years ago. Thracians settled there at the end of the Bronze Age. They called it Melsambria, which meant the town of Melsas – that was probably the name of the founder of the settlement. At the beginning of the 1st century AD the town became part of the Roman Empire and in 812 the town became part of the First Bulgarian Empire. The Slavs who settled there called it Nesebar. The town flourished under the rule of Tsar Ivan Alexander (1331 - 1371) – many new churches were built, culture and religion developed.
The traces of past historical periods are everywhere. It is a city-museum. In 1983 Old Nessebar was included in the List of World Cultural Heritage Sites of UNESCO.
In the picture you can see the ruins of the city walls from the Roman period.

This old stone wall looks a bit perculiar but the immense details attract the eye as strong focal point and thanks to your narrative bit of history to go along Excellent display of colours and lighting in particular the appealing blue combination soothingly liven the setting with the extra vivid colours to trigger the sense, Nice photo work, Congrats

Hello Ryszard ,
Looks fascinatingly interesting! Good warm cold color contrasts between the blue sky and red brick ruins with perfect sharpness and good density levels. The man adds scale and animates the shot. Well composed using the rule of thirds. The 3 flags at left add interest. Tfs!

Imponujace mury.
A byłes w Kamiennym Lesie kolo Warny?
