Ruins of the St. Sophia Church.
St. Sophia Orthodox Church is located in the center of the ancient town of Nessebar. The church has a total length of 25.5 m and a width of 13 meters. It had formerly a two sloping roof which unfortunately has not survived to this day. The interior of the church was once painted with frescoes. The entire floor was covered with a mosaic made of small colored stones. The church was built in the late fifth and sixth centuries. Its present appearance dates back to the ninth century, when the church was rebuilt after being destroyed. The church was abandoned in the eighteenth century.

What a striking historical sight and the impact rendered. A shot with lots of interest and my eye is immediately dragged all over the place with the immediate arches provides such a good lead in. A picture with great perspective finely composed in excellent rich tones and all the vivid details are here to transform this into a grand image. The subtle light is in your favour and rich in colours too shaded by that mouth watering blue sky! Great too that people presence always brings lots of life. An awesome shot so well taken, My congrats.
