Mostar Bridge is not only a bridge connecting two sides of the town, but the soul and the heart of the life in Mostar as well.
Accordng to the legend, young men used to jump to the deep green water of the River Neretva on top of the bridge, to proove their braveness before the engagement. The Bridge is also one of the most important point of the city to socialise and shopping.
Photo taken early in the morning, yet the Bridge was not crowded with the visitors or professional divers performing their jumping yet.

Mostar Bridge and Neretva River

Dear Sibel,

thank you very much for this picture. I find again my nostalgy for the life that we had here in Yugoslavia. I was on the same place much more before you. Mostar is the city I like very much. On your picture we can see the rebuild part of stone houses. Generally nice photo. All compliments and warm regards,

mnogo pozdrava

Bonjours,

You've selected a fantastic vantage point for your photograph. Incidentally, on the "Today Show" on NBC, broadcast all over the United States, there was 2-3 hour visit by the show's star to, Matt Lauer to Turkey. A three minute distillation of the part about Istanbul appears at this link. It is fabulous. You might like to share it with your friends in Turkey, as I am also trying to do.

Sevgi ve selam,

Bülent
