| While this isn't a spectacular photo, I just wanted to add to the library of what Sarajevo looks like. This is the old Turkish quarter, with lots of shops. Also, in viewing the hills that surround the city, it becomes evident how easily snipers were able to hold Sarajevo under siege for so long. |

Thanks for this shot. Sajevo Turkish Quarter is still so charmish as I remember it, when I went there five or six years before the war.

Hi nice photo. you get nice height with the tower in the back. I tried a workshop to bring out the colours and add a bit of contrast. I like the cloudy effect it creates a specific atmosphere.
Hi Christina,
What I like in this part of Sarajevo is: It looks like never been touched and changed since 17th Century.
Best regards
Sibel

Hi!
Nice photo. I have always liked Baščaršija (this how this part is called), but before that dreadful war it was even more beautiful. On this one place, in this one city you could see different nationalities and religions coexist in peace. It was amazing. i will never forget that time.
And the name Bascarsija literally means - the MAIN SQUARE.
Best regards, Stasa
