Lost Mill and Old Willows Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is one more photo of river Buna, taken very close to location of my previous post “Lazy River”. This is the site of former grist mill, which was active up to 80’s.Now, there are just ruins remaining. Recently I’ve found a great video about a similar grist mill on river Bregava, located in small town Stolac, about 15 miles from this place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8h676N1HcU

I’m going to have some posts about grist mills from Pennsylvania, but they are much larger than this one from Stolac.
These old willow trees are fighting very hard to survive high and wild water in the winter and spring. For some days the water is so high, that you can barely see any short tree.

what a lovely and well-composed scenery! :-) the mix of water and green vegetation with the emphasis on the interesting
willow trees is great. it is hard to imagine that the water can rise so high as you described, wow, i would not want to be there

Hi Brano,
beautiful landscaping photo, relaxed and quiet environment, nice calm colors, can even imagine the noise of creek, going through the tree's routes. Hard to believe that this cozy place can turn into high and wild at spring time.
