Photographer’s Note
The castle of Pocitelj, lying high above Neretva River, was first mentioned in 1444. In 1471 village and castle were taken by the Ottomans for about 400 years. In the war of the 90ies the historical Ottoman buildings of the village were destroyed, but reconstructed in the early years of 21st century.
