Photographer’s Note
Not long time ago during the civil war these stones were used as a protection for some unknown soldiers, looking down on highway and the hills over the river, where some other soldiers were hiding behind some similar hideout.
Now this beautiful view on Neretva river is free and hopefully very soon the next generation would be wondering what were these stones used for.
The main highway going North-south is located on left river's bank and train is on opposite side.

Hello Brano
Excellent composition with a fantastic view & good sharpness. Yes it does resemble the view a sniper would have & it wasn't all that long ago that Bosnia was in the news, & for all the wrong reasons. I'd add yellow & burn in the highlights. Tfs!

Zdravo Brano. Eh kad bi tako bilo, da nesto naucimo od bivsih dogadjaja. Ova fotka i tvoje rjeci me posjecaju od one stare pjesme- Bosno Moja.
Bosno moja poharana,
mnogo ljeta ne orana...
Kuco moja bez sinova
Stalo moja bez volova...
A kad je ta bila napisana... i opet se sve ponovilo.
Ljepa je Bosna i meni draga. Pozdrav. Klaudio.

Hi Brano,
One can hardly imagine that scenic view as a place where was a war only some years ago. Besides the natural beauty, I like very much the compo, which makes good use of the lines and shapes of the landscape.
This is a country that I have always wanted to visit. As a matter of fact, I had plans to visit it the year the war broke out.

José

Hello Brano -
I like the note as it casts this lovely scene in a whole different perspective. The composition is very nice, but the sky is working against you. This was captured at midday and you managed the light very well.
Thank you for sharing.

Hola Brano.
The truth is that it was a bloody war but thank God that it's in the past and hope that it will never come back. There is no doubt that this specific point was a good place for a sniper, now from where you can see a beautiful landscape and you've captured it very well from a high POV with great perspective and nice natural colors.
TFS.
Best regards and wish you a nice week ahead.

HEllo Brano, i als hope that this will stay a free view. Wonderful landschape and i like very much the composition. I found the colors a bit washdout maybe the use of a polarizer would help.
Best regards
KIKs
