Photographer’s Note

Please notice the size of the woman's hands at the right!

In in the center of the city I found this little ally where there was this wall covered with bullet holes from the Bosnia-Serbian War,

The city feels and looks like it belongs to the Middle East and Europe ,with all minarets rising above the city and all devouted women covered up and bustling around .

Facts:Sarajevo was also the first city in Europe and the second city in the world to have a full-time operational electric tram network running through the city, the first being San Francisco.

Sarajevo has attracted international attention several times throughout its history: In 1914 it was the site of the assassination that sparked World War I, while seventy years later it became the host city of the 1984 Winter Olympics.

Sarajevo is the capital of the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its sub-entity, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as of the Sarajevo Canton. It is also the de jure capital of another entity, Republika Srpska. Each of these levels of government has their parliament or council, as well as judicial courts, in the city
