Witaj Kasia
Now that is a superb composition. Great elevated POV with nice graphical elements. I love the way the light changes from grey to the small band of green to the warm glow at the bottom.
While the cementry is a grim reminder of the attrocities of war, the modern and cosy houses in the back show that life is going on after every disaster in its normal way.
have a good sunday

Zdravo Kasia. I don't know whether life goes on in its normal way. What sadness hides behind those windows? I remember when I was there I asked a woman who was crossing the bridge across the river whether the cemetery I was looking at upon the hill was from the war.She got teary and replied that her son was buried there. The pain is always there regardless of life's tempo and outward appearances. The snow has given your scene an even eerier look, a more desolate feeling, a deeper silence, a more definitive cessation of existence, a greater sense of the meaningless of hate and dogma. A fine photo Kasia. Regards. Klaudio.

Bonjour Kasia,
J'aime beaucoup la construction de cette image. A partir du cadrage vertical qui donne de la profondeur à l'image, de la parfaite gestion de la lumière de nuit et aussi par la perspective sur le village en arrière plan.
Amicalement

Czesc Kasiu,
wyjatkowe miejsce i wyjatkowa kompozycja.Z jednej strony mamy utrzymany w zimnych,szaro-bialych odcieniach cmentarz, ktore znakomicie oddaja okrucienstwo tych przeciez nie tak odleglych wydarzen.Z drugiej zas strony ulica i dalej domy sprawiajace tutaj w twojej kompozycji wrazenie niejako granicy pomiedzy tym co bylo i toczacym sie dalej zyciem.Pieknie oswietlone w cieplych barwach.Znakomite zestawienie, pobudzajace nas do zastanowienia i dajace mozliwosc swojej interpretacji.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Hello Kasia,
This is a sad but fascinating picture and it is in every way very well taken. The tombstones seem impossible to count, and I guess this is just one of several cemetaries of this kind in Sarajevo. The light shining for the dead is almost eerily balanced by the light along the street and inside the jomes of the still living.
Kind regards,
Gert

War kills a lot of people but does not solve any problem. Why can't human beings get along? Nice capture of this cemetery, I like the time of day this was taken. Good lighting in spite of the long exposure and wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but despite never visiting the Balkans in general, I've long felt a deep connection to the area. While a student, I became engrossed in the history and identity politics of the region, and the Yugoslav wars were a central aspect of that understanding. So I look at this shot as a really impressive statement - the sea of obelisks, all the same, from a war fought over imperceptible difference; the lighted gazebo which connects those obelisks to the world of the living in the top part of the frame. A very powerful statement on the Bosnian tragedy, and really beautifully captured. Thank you for this one.

Czesc,
dramatycznie to wyglada. Niezwykly cmentarz. Swietny strzal ze swietnego POV. Tutaj widac jak Sarajewo ucierpialo podczas wojny. Dobry reportaz i prezentacja.
Milego dnia.

Hi Kasia, the round-shaped mausoleum in the middle of the tombstones belongs to late-Alija Izetbegocic, who is the first President of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Very impressive photo the effect of which is further increased by snow. Congratulations.

Hello Kasia,
this is a marvellous image combining raw and hurtful reality with exquisite beauty. The excellent depth and clarity make your downward point of view and the whole composition most effective. The contasts in lighting, colour and atmosphere as well as those of the shadows and the lights are striking and suggestive. The two parts are clearly related, though, and their coexistence in this frame is absolutely touching. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely week,
Ourania

This one makes me speechess.
The subject is an overall tragedy and your presentation, especially the snow & the night makes it even more touching. Cold tones for the martyrs, warm tones for the living... Absolutely great.

Hi Kasia
An interresting galery with nice idea and picture. On this one I like the contrats between the snow and the warm colors on the city and the graphism made by the tombstones.
Regards
Bernard
