Jablanica lake ( Jablaničko jezero) is a lake in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. The lake is artificial and was created in 1953 when a hydroelectric dam was built on Neretva river to generate electricity.
The lake has an irregular enlongated shape. Its width varies along its length. The lake is a popular vacation destiation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Swimming, boating and especially fishing are popular activities on the lake. Many weekend cottages hae been built along the shores of the lake.
