Photographer’s Note
Practically all you see was destroyed in the senseless Bosnian war. Now rebuilt, Mostar is once again visited by tourists-here a group of Italians. The bridge you see is the Kriva Čuprija, Crooked Bridge. The info on the site says that it was the precursor of the Stari Most.
I include some info about the little bridge from UNESCO:
Beside the famous Stari Most (Old Bridge), a genuine symbol of the town destroyed in 1993, there is another ancient bridge in Mostar: the Kriva Cuprija (or the Crooked Bridge).
It crosses the Rabobolja creek, a right-bank affluent of the Neretva River. The exact date of its construction and the name of its founder are not known.
Kriva cuprija is a stone one-arch bridge of small dimension and closely resembles the Stari Most. The arch is a perfect semicircle 8.56m in width and 4.15m in height. The frontage and vault are made of regular stone cubes incorporated into the horizontal layers all along the vault. The space between vault, frontal walls and footpath is filled with cracked stone. The bridge footpath and the approaching roads are paved with cobblestones, as is the case with the main roads in the town. Stone steps enable people to ascend to the bridge either side. The floods of December 2000 destroyed this bridge.
A reconstruction project has been initiated by UNESCO, financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The project was completed in the year 2001.

Hallo Claudio!
You show us a truly "history-charged" and tragic place. It's hard to believe what men did to men here ... It's good to see that tourists again are there and that this bridge is connecting people again. Let's hope that they use it ...
Greetings from cold and snow covered Germany!

Hello Claudio,
I 'd never seen the bridge in combination with the minaret, yet this adds quite a lot to the 'sense of place'. Interesting shot, thanks for sharing it here.

Zdravo Klaudio,
Lep deo Mostara, obicno vidjam samo stari most, ovo je nesto malo drugacije. Slazem se da je rat bio besmislen, ali sta je bilo bilo je, nadajmo se da se takve stvari vise nece ponavljati na nasim prostorima..
Srecna Nova 2009 i sve najbolje!

Hello Klaudio,
A bridge with a great name since the last conflicts.
You place the minarette exactly middle of the picture, this as real eye catcher.
Perspective and creation are very well. TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Klaudio, to visit Mostar through your lense is a big pleasure. Your POV in all three shots has been so nice and planned that we could see it from all directions. The composition, light and colours in this one are great. TFS. Regards.
Çağla.
