Photographer’s Note

Some of you might feel that you have seen this one before, and you did long ago but I had erased it inadvertently. So what better time to post it again(with a new frame) than at the start of the New Year and to mark my 300th photo.
I chose this photo for this occasion as it symbolizes HOPE and the victory of BEAUTY over ignorance, wanton destruction and narrow mindedness.
May 2009 fulfill all of your wishes and offer you security, health and inspiration.

Hi Klaudio,
Nice shot! I like that the bridge straddles the image and creates a focal point. Nice water and interesting architecture. Good composition and perspective. Sharpness is just right and good choice for framing.

I love these stone bridges although if my memory serves me it is fairly new in that it replaced an older bridge that was destroyed during the Bosnian conflict. The exposure is spot on and we can see detail in both the sunny and shaded sides.

I think I've seen it before and again I really like it, with superb colors, balance of light and shadow, well chosen viewpoint and very nice composition! The place looks very interesting and beautiful! I aslo like the texture on the water surface and the reflection on it!

Hello Klaudio,
The image has a very nice balance to it, with the open blue sky balancing with the open expanse of water in the foreground. The old architecture is attractive and the bridge's arch creates a nice border for the background view beneath it. Very nicely done.

Indeed I see many photos at this place before, but majority in horizontal format, your vertical format is amazing, just like standing at the middle of river to shoot this photo, lovely green river, nice color and lighting in a sunny day, distinct image, well done.

As I already mentionned to you, I remember seeing people jump from the original bridge in October 1988. At the time it was unbelievable that it would be destroyed especially as the family I was staying with in Sarajevo commented on the fact that everyone lived peacefully despite the different religions and backgrounds. The beautiful weather here seems to accentuate the hopefullness and the bridge is definitely beautiful.

Hi from Perth, Klaudio, where it's about 37 in the shade.
Congratulations on your milestone, which you've marked with this luminous beautiful picture reposted with great hopes for 2009. Superb blue in the sky and lovely light on the bridge and the scene visible under the arch. A fine symbol for the new year, even if current events don't look too promising.
