Photographer’s Note

Cenacolo, commune for rehabilitation of drugs, alcohol, gambling and any other addiction which ruin peoples life.
This one is settled near Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This is place where came people with addiction with their last hope to salvation from their addiction.
They live here for three or more years, devoted only to work and pray. some of them stay more to help newcomers. No medical treatment, only works and prays. They built this place literally out of nothing only with their own work. Today that's oasis of peace and tranquility. A lots of guys from Cenacolo succeded in their rehabilitation and today live normal life without drugs, gamble or alcohol.
This chapel is small part of this comune builded entirely by guys who live there.
I was their to visit son of my friend who will come out this autumn fully rehabilitated.

Hello Darko,
This photo may lack some sharpness, but the emotion is there. I like the positions of the two young men before the altar. The design of this chapel also has interesting and colorful detail.

beautiful murals and glasswork... it is interesting to see the way they pray looks like muslims with shoes taken off, sitting on the floor... very interesting note also... thanks for sharing darko...

I like your answer to bostankorkulugu, and so true. Great note to support your photo. Great to have the men before the alter to give a personal touch to their struggles. Do you know what the success rate of the commune is, could be something that other countries may adopt to fight this world wide problem. Regards Rodney

an inspiring foto of a christian theme- seeing these two gentlemen praying and asking the Almighty the will and power to not go back to their habits- those habits that destroy hopes and future.
