Photographer’s Note

Shot taken from mount Krizevac above MEdjugorje, small town in Herzegovina. Those are just a part of hills that surround valley in which Medjugorje (Medjugorje = between the hills) is settled.

Medjugorje is small Herzegovinian town that become known before 26 years when people of Medjugorje have apparition of virgin MAry the Queen of Peace.

Since then, Medjugorje became a place visited by millions of pilgrims.

Hi Darko!
Your previous upload dates back to March 31st, therefore you deserve a "welcome back"
And this is a wonderful coming back, with that vast landscape full of layers of mountains. The gradual change from darkness into light is very beautiful. Last year i'd been to Medjugorje (on the way from Mostar to Dubrovnik) and i remember the curvy roads going up those mountains. It was a fantastic experience. TFS,

Hello Darko!

Amazing picture. I like its climate, it's very quiet and wise. Great colors and tones. I think that a little sharpening at the border between mountains and sky could improve a little bit the whole picture.

Hello Darko -

I like the composition with the layering that has been developed with your telephoto lens. The hazy atmosphere adds a bit of mystery to the image. The extreme FG appears to be a bit dark and could be lightened a bit. Well done.

Such subtle tones and shades give a painterly touch: this reminds me of the light in some of Caspar David Friedrich's paintings.
