Photographer's Note

Something that we do not see so often, an old water well used to collect rain water to be used in vineyards , mostly for making cooper sulfate as a fungicide. You can see blue marks on concrete containers. This area was a place of best vineyards, now everything is abandoned after the war 1992. Only the view on village of Hodbina is still amazing. My WS includes a NW view on the mountain of Velez. The water was collected through small stone built channels running down along the vineyards.
Also there is a link for a great story about these wells in Dalmatia on island Vis. http://www.blog.hr/print/id/1630788909/viske-gustirne.html I'm using a Dalmatian name for this well, well is not even a good translation.
