[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Maison des Ducs de Brabant (the House of the Dukes of Brabant) in Grand Place, Brussels. Actually, it is a group seven houses designed in 1698 by the architect Guillame de Bruyn but with a common front. The seven houses are called La Bourse (The Stock Exchange), La Colline (The Hill), Le Pot d'Etain (The Tin Pot), Le Moulin à Vent (The Windmill), La Fortune (The Fortune), L'Ermitage (The Hermitage) L'Ecrevisse (The Crayfish) and La Renommé (The Fame). It is called the House of the Dukes of Brabant because of the statues of dukes under the windows on the first floor of the building.

Bonjour Ulf,
Best regards.
Daniel

Impressive architecture,Well arrangement of space in this frame by provide more space for daily life scene in foreground,That also made a story lead to complicate detail of building facade in background,Sharpness revealed detail and good combination of light/color.Good work,TFS.

Hi Ulfe
Great design and a fantastic architecture from 17th century.
The light in this image is great. It seems the paved ground outside is wet since the lamp's light reflection is very clear.
All the best
R

Hello Ulf,

A beautiful sight of a place not very far from the place where I work evry day.
a beautiful framing of the building, good use of light and good contrats, a nice symetry too.
Regards of belgium,
Roger

The building has a very intricate design which you show very well. I like all the gold embellishments. The square is full of activity which adds plenty of additional interest. Well done

Hi Ulf,
A great photo of the richly decorated facade of the maison. I remember the place well from my visit of Brussels. The light is fine and especially brings out the golden parts nicely. Nice view of the daily life here too in the foreground. Good photo work!
Regards,
Lars
