Brussels Palace of Justice is the most important Court building in the country, functions as the supreme court of law for Belgium.
Bigger than St. Peter's Basilica in Rome is currently 160 by 150 meters and has a total built ground surface of 260,000 m². The 142 meter high dome weighs 24,000 tons.
Built between 1866 and 1883 by architect Joseph Poelaert. The biggest secular building constructed in the 19th century.
