[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A picture of the Poelbergmill, which is situated in the vicinity of the little town of Tielt. The mill stands proudly on the top of a hill that dominates the area: the Poelberg (from which the mill got its name).
The mill itself dates back to the 18th century and was in use untill 1970. In 1989 repairs started and were finished in 1993. This was paid by the town council of Tielt, that had become owner of the mill in the meantime.
I wish I could have gotten more details in the shot, but crops growing on the right side prevented me to do that. I hope you like it anyway.

Hi Henrik
Very nice POV on your mills.b I(sreally look like the french flandres. Very well done with good colors
Cheers
JP

Salut Hendrik,
Bonne soiree JY

Great contrast of colors from the blues, greens and red. The cloud arrangement is very dynamic and adds to the scene very well. I really like your composition.

Very well done,

Mel

Hi hendrik

I like the curve of the fg road & the superb colour contrast between the red roof at left & blue sky. Good graphism of the windmill blades against the sky, with marvellous overall sharpness. Tfs!

Dag Hendrik,

Zeer goed gedaan. Bedankt voor uw bezoek.

Groeten,
John.

Hi Hendrik,
A high impact shot making use of all the essential tools of photography. There is great balance between the red roofed structure on the left and the mill on the right. The road takes the eye into the frame, slightly off centre and nicely curving, while the bucolic sky is expansive and indicative of freedom and perhaps the movement of the windmill arms. Very fine work, Hendrik...later.

Bonjour, mon ami Hendrik,
Philippe

It seems that Belgium has almost as many windmills as Holland. ;D You have composed the image well. I wouldn't worry that there are not as many details as you would have wished. We have a saying "less is more". Here you placed the mill on the right so the front of it is facing into the frame, included the red building for balance and used the path to lead us into the scene. What more could we want?! Well done
Kath

Hi Hendrik, very good and balanced composition...
the touch of red creats a great contrast...
good sharpness and colours too..

ciao!

Hi Hendrik,
a simple and very nice windmill, good positioned in the frame. The curve of the street adds a lot to this fine composition. I also like the colours and sharpness.
