[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Back to one of my all-time-favorite subjects: windmills. I have been on another trip through windmills in my province and this is the first one: the "Koutermolen" (in English "the mill in the pasture").
The name was first mentioned in the first half of the 15th century. Before 1870, the mill stood on so-called dices ("teerlingen"). This was changed at that time, when the mill got a stone towerhouse ("torenkot"), so that not only grains could be grinded but also oil (oil from seeds of course). The mill was restored for the last time in the 60's of the previous century but it urgently needs new attention.
I hope you like it.

Dag Hendrik,

Bedankt!

Groeten tot morgen,
John.

I was interestsed to read your remark to Koray as I have had the same experience this morning. The photo I uploaded looked fine on PS, but dark on TE. Strange I never noticed before.
I never get tired of looking at shots of windmills; they make such interesting subjects. The perspective lines of the road make a perfect lead-in to the image.
Kath
