Brusseles Grand Place, a photo from Brussels, Brussels

Photographer's Note

Like from a fairy tale - tiny houses, often without strictly perpendicular walls with plenty of small restaurants and shining colors of flowers everywhere. That is the Brussels Grand Place. I heard that there is great food, like mussels and other specialites, however at 4 o'clock in the afternoon I kept hearing only "the kitchen is closed, what do you want to drink". That's a shame. The nearest restaurant, where I did not hear that sentence, was at the Zaventem International Airport while leaving the beautiful corners of Brusseles.

Hi Michael Superb composition the clarity and sharpness is superb. The way are illuminated the flowers and the buildings gined a nice colours, this is lovely picture, ciao Giorgio

Hello Michael,
A very beautiful view of our grand place of Brussels. I am sorry you could not eat there in the afternoon. I never went to restaurant there so I have no experiences.
I like your framing with the market of flowers.

Beautiful catch of the Grand Place. I've been there dozens of times and never found it with the flowers :(

Yo Michael!

I like the really vibrant flowers framing the lower portion of the picture, they really grab your eye and then the way they are placed on angels lead up to the interesting house in the back ground. It's a really nice authentic look picture that is composed well.

Hi Michael - I like teh floral fg, and the buildings are so ornate and appealing, unlike most of Brussels, the half cut figure at the left side needs to go, I'm surprised that noone serves food at that hour.
