Photographer’s Note

After the visit to the Belfort (building on the right - on the WS can be seen better) which took us a few hours wainting and didn't allowed me to take the picture I was hoping for... we were starving. We chose one of the restaurants on the Markt which are pretty much a turist thing, but was the best choice not to need to walk and to have also a nice view to the plaza. Because it was already quite late we had the the second floor almost for us and I took the opportunity to explore every window and POV to take some pictures. The sun was shining at this time of the day and the sky was more interesting them it was in the morning allowing a better light over the colorful buindings on the Markt.

The Markt is the central square of Brugge and a market is hold thre since the X century. The square is surounded on one side by buildings dating back from the XV century, such as the Belfort (the grey building on the right). The other 3 sides are composed by the colorful buidings were today are mainly animated restaurants and cafes.

Hi Flavia,
This is a beautiful view of this market area. The colourful buildings look beautiful. You POV is fabulous where the eye is taken right up through the image into the smaller lane. I like this very much.

Gostei deste colorido das edificações à esquerda, banhadas de sol, contrastando com o prédio da direita. Perspectiva excelente e a movimentação das pessoas na rua, com roupas combinando discretamente em cores com as edificações e, ainda as luzinhas no primeiro plano, sem exagero, tudo está dando uma agradável sensação visual - os cones e os bastonetes agradecem ;-)
A moldura em cima e de um lado só (penso que vc aproveitou o contorno da janela, não?) - genial!

Uma bela perspectiva deste centro de Brugge. Gostei muito do POV. As cores também estão lindíssimas e a definição da imagem é perfeita. Você realmente achou um belo ângulo.

Bonjour Flavia,
Etonnante image dont une moitié est en couleurs et l'autre en gris. J'aime bien la perspective caractéristique des façades "à la flamande". Amusant aussi que tu aies laissé l'encadrement de fenêtre apparent.
Cela fait longtemps que je n'ai plus mangé de moules !!

lindo ponto de vista dessa marvilhosa cidade (e olha que só a conheço por fotos e por comentários de quem já a conheceu). Gostei do contraste entre o "quase desaturado" ambiente e as "coloridas construções à esquerda". Uma bela imagem!

terrific view along the colorful row of houses at the famous brugge market.
sometimes eating at the "tourist restaurants" can really have it´s advantages.*g*

Aah! The mussels (but don't forget the double fried frittes!). I like the elevated POV it gives a whole new perspective to the square. Also the view down the narrow street opposite draws the eye into the shot. Well framed by the window. Best regards, Roberto

Flávia, gostei do local, possuio uma bela arquitetura, bem característico da Europa. só não entendi a borda utilizada só do lado esquerdo e superior.
Boas cores, gostei da silhueta das folhas.

Great composition here with beautifully coloured façades. I like very much the ros crossing the picture in an oblique with the colourful constructions on one side. very well seen.

Je vois que tu es passée en belgique,tu as choisi un bel endroit de Brugge,le cadrage est bien réussi avce ces facades pleine de clartés,l'avant plan foncé donne presque un 3D.

Flavia, uma de suas raras fotos em cores! Adorei da moldura natural em preto em volta de 3/4 da imagem. Da um contraste maravilhoso para as cores destas casas. Architetura belissima destas casas medievais. Deve ter realmente sido um momento muito especial em ter almoco neste restaurante.

a New Year's Eve in Belgium, i would not complain as the food and beers are excellent there;-)...nice, sneaky look at the street through the window...the medival squares look much nicer when one can somehow find the way to photograph from above...sorry to see the most of Belfort not being the part of you compo...cheers
