Photographer’s Note
Hi best friend, I remain find in my archive picture with misty atmosphere.
I make the combination between perspective and great depth to both sides.
This was a lovely moment with first sun in the early morning, this everything during my morning stroll in this forest close by my home.
I used a monopod.
I hope you enjoy it.

Bonsoir John
la lumière est bien positionnée sur l'intersection de ces deux chemins. Une ambiance un peu inquiétante avec cette brume. On se sent perdu au milieu de cette forêt sans savoir quel chemin prendre. Beau travail.

Very nicely laid out shot, with the frame balanced by having one road on each side, and then the tree in the middle dividing the two. The lighting is unusual, as the trees are usually dark, but in this case the sun gives a bright tree, and changing the feeling from gloomy to beautiful. Well done!

Hello John,
Deux chemins dans la forêt mais qui mènent tout deux vers la brumes et l'inconnu ! L'éclairage de la partie centrale est bien vu et permet de réhausser toute l'image !
Bravo !

Hello John -
What a lovely image. I like the composition and the use of the WA lens to show both paths in the forest. The light shining on the one tree is very nice and with the fog makes for a moody image. Almost reminds of one of a Satie Gymnopedie. Exposure spot on, DOF is appropriate, and the image is sharp. Well done!
Thank you for sharing

Hi John. Good clarity and colours here. Your monopod does a good job for you making every photo so clear. The title could be many things including "Life's choices" of which path to follow. Metaphorically. TFS. Murray.

Hi John,
This is classic Maenhout work, with the diverging tracks providing a secondary perspective. I like the scattered autumn leaves in the foreground and the misty glow as the sun filters through the trees. Very fine work, John.

Hi John, this is a very interesting use of the split in the road to show the two diverging paths. Both paths show up well in the foreground but disappear into the fog. I like the composition. This is one I am going to need to try myself someday.
Thanks, John

Dag John. Groetjes, Hendrik

Hello John,
A very atmospheric shot with excellent perspective standing at the fork of these two tracks. The lighting on the foreground trunk is beautifully warm whilst the scene becomes more ethereal as we 'walk' down the track. Great tones and good clarity.

Hi John,
The first beams of the Sun entering across the fog they have a very interesting effect graphically, and give us a wet and cold environment.
The crossing of both ways and the illuminated trees, which with the perspective are getting lost in the fog, has a beautiful geometry, and the lighting and the colors are perfect.
It's a very beautiful shot.

Best regards.

Hi John.
Light and perspective (the composition too) are very nice but I think that the problem that I see with the quality of the picture is caused by the high compression.
Maybe I am wrong and is another kind of problem.
Anyway, I like very much this new landscape.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello John,
A first class nature scene, in which you have demonstrated very good two-point perspective, just as in your "Ingelmunster O II" The lines of perspective all converge on the horizon line at two vanishing points. The colors and light are exquisite here, and in the distance the fog takes over. There is indeed a glow in the atmosphere where the fog exists.
Well done, as always,
Bulent

Hi John,
It's a lovely image. It impresses mostly because of two things: the pov, that defies our imagination for the bifurcation and the ethereal light, that seems to come both from the bg and from behind and also a bit from everywhere. These combined with the wonderful colours and the haze make a magical atmosphere that I only see in truly great and inspired photos.
Congratulations.

Hello John.
It's been a while, but I see that you are still posting some excellent photos...glad to see your in better health. What drew me to this shot was the dual roads splitting apart and your excellent use of perspective. Like a mirror shot with subtle differences on the right and left which give the right amount of character. Good light also, such a warm morning glow...
excellent as usual.

Beautiful composition, John, and a perfect graphical representation of Robert Frost's poem - The Road Not Taken.
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood ..."
I also like the misty atmosphere and the perspective of the shot.

A very atmospheric photo, John - the light is almost surreal. When I first saw this in the thumbnail, I thought the composition could be improved by seeing less of the ground and more of the trees (i.e. the camera angled upwards) but now that I have opened it I like what I see because including the point where the paths cross adds a interesting perspective to the composition. Cheers . . . David

Hi John. The road less traveled? It seems both paths are equally walked upon. It is an interesting composition, taking our eye into the distance in both directions, that is, when we stop admiring the trees in front of us, lit by the morning sun.Lovely mood of both solitude and adventure.
