Le jour où les forges ont fermé leurs portes, ce fut la stupéfaction, l’incrédulité, la colère. Il y eut même de la violence. Mais rien n’y fit.
Aujourd’hui, tout semble paisible à Clabecq.
Toen op een dag de hoogovens hun deuren sloten, stond iedereen verstomd. Ongeloof en woede – zelfs geweld. Maar de fabriek bleef dicht.
Vandaag lijkt alles vredig in Clabecq.
The day the blast-furnaces of Clabecq closed down, people just could’nt belief it. Stupefaction and rage – even violence. But it didn’t change things.
Today, everything seems peaceful again.

très belle association. elle me rappelle une photo prise depuis la maison de mes grands-parents (rue Raymond Pierret).
à l'époque le hf 6 n'existait pas encore.
pour info, Duferco Clabecq continue son développement avec le laminoir à tôles fortes (500 personnes pour une prod. de 650,000 tonnes principalement à l'export).

J'aime beaucoup cette photo-ci comme bien d'autres de ta galerie.
Dans cette photo je te suggérerais toutefois de la contraster un peu plus.
C'est juste une histoire de goût personnel.

quel enorme contraste entre l'animal et l'indusriel
le vivant et l'inerte... tres fort !
I like the contrast between the pastoral scene in the foreground and the industrial backdrop, and you've achieved a good balance between the structures either side of the chimney.
In terms of the black and white conversion, it needs a lot more contrast to bring it to life - I want to see strong blacks and white whites rather than the shades of grey that you have at the moment.
Also, for the image to be a success, you really needed to wait until the sheep were facing you. I know that sheeo aren't always the most cooperative of creatures, but if you'd waited they would have moved eventually. I often find whistling at them attracts their attention.
There's a lot of potential in this scene Erik, and it's worth another go I'd say.

J'aime beaucoup le contraste entre ces moutons paisibles et cette énorme usine. Il ressort une grande impression de calme de ta photo, c'est vraiment très poétique. J'aime énormément.
