Photographer’s Note
There she was with her black apron at the lavatory in the parking garage. Underground, in between cars riding to and fro, in her glass house, and an occasional visitor who needed to use the loo. And then some Dutch woman taking pictures of you in this strange place. I did not envy her.
I was struck by the colors, the reflections and the weird environment.
Taken while coming back with my sister from a visit to Watou, South West of Belgium, where a poetry- and art festival takes place every year. If ever you're in the neighbourhood, take some time to visit it, it's very nice.
I was going to post a nightshot again at the same time with Bert, but I was not satisfied with what I could post, so I chose for a 'without daylight' version of the underground Parking garage 't Zandt in Brugge.
Bert's picture is here.

You're right, colours and reflections are very attractive and fascinating in this image. Well done!
There are nice contrasts of colours, a beautiful light and an effect of ..... house of the mirrors!!

Such a storytelling photo, dear. I could imagine some histories taken this photo as a beginning, but let´s respect her thoughts (together with my lack of imagination). As you say colors are fantastic. Very interesting point of view, like an old dutch painting. Take care my friend.

Schizophrenia paradise...
Who says she's alone? she's got at least 3 other similar persons to speak to. They're dressed alike, they look alike, they sit and speak alike. They're the best of friends...and they chat, and chat and chat... oh my god... they chat till the end of the night...
But...Who's that person reflected in the center of the photo, interupting the 4 yellow girls chat? She doesn't even wear a yellow shirt. Maybe she's taking photo for the CIA, for the FBI or who knows which country secret services...
Schizophrenia and paranoia, the yellow girl best friend.
Work in there for one year and you're good for a one year holiday with specialized mind care.

Dag, Rinie.

A fine architecture minimalism. The woman is essential for the picture of the room or is it the other way? I like how the color of the glass shifts in vertical bands from left to right.

Rinie, this is fantastic work. The composition, the colours, the sense of contemporary loneliness reflected from glass windows. And then comes Luko's twist on it that makes one smile...
A fantastic ambiance, the colours and lines perfected to their best. The mood...
Take care Rinie and forgive I haven't answered your last email.. will do shortly... racing with time,

Hi Rinie, I hope all is well. A lovely photo, with a good main subject amplified by a stunning multitude of reflections. And then we have your reflection, greatly adding to the fascination. A beautiful and artistic way to show this everyday scene, it's one of your best ever I think. And what a refreshing and innovative sight from Brugge compared to the pretty but - yawn! - repetitive old buildings by the canals at day- or nighttime.
I think an alternate title, if I read the imprint on the black bag correctly, could be Only.

Hi Rinie,
Very good presentation of loneliness, the woman with her own reflection as unique company, and the feelings inside, the thoughts... even its attitude, the hands, her face so concentrated, and the space. I think is a little claustrophobic (but good for this shot). The soft colors add a little of joy of life. Very beautifu, dear. Congratulations.
Angel.
PS: Glad for see you again here. Take care.

Beautiful, sparklingly cool rendition, reminds me of a Hopper painting - terminal loneliness in the big city. This is a great pic, Rinie. I'll confess something: I love it when you shoot people, you're really gifted...
Best,

Nicely seen multiple reflections, well presented stark environment. I sometimes wonder about the econics of staffing these places. (PS, looking at your portfolio, you don't seem to have been very active recently either).

Wow, this is excellent, Rinie. Fantastic yellow-green light, wonderful geometric shapes, great colours. Technically spot on. And on top of all that, the subject and the mood - such incredible isolation, I hope they pay her big money (but I bet they don't!). I wonder if she knew you took the shot and if so, whether she reacted at all. I really love this one - congratulations.

How to make three for the price of one.
You know how to Rinie, obviously much better than anyone else.
Built flawlessly. With the utmost precision.
Within sterile tools and means of production.
Cold hearted Dutch woman?
Than look at her other photos in her gallery..!
Got it ??
Have a great day, Ms.Hoff

Hoi, querida, long time we do not talk!
It´s amazing to see the kind of duties the new economy brings to torture employees...
looks like there is a room with many tables with very attentive attendants.
By the end of the day, tons of CO2 breath, her remains will take a crowded bus... Oh, I see myself ages ago!
wonderful composition as a whole, colors, perspective, loneliness.
Beijo. Think about the carnival email. Kike is coming!

Fantastic shot Rinie - nicely observed and taken - really sharp for a hand held shot at the speed - brilliant. The colours, repetition of the figure and all the subtleties of those vertical linesand views through to the distance make this such a fascinating image.
best wishes Kev

Rinie, I looked at this picture more than once. Unable each time to find the words. Words still espace me today. But let me try nevertheless, and excuse me. First thing that I perceived was her, alone. But not quite. Her in her many versions. Then, I was strike by the colors. I can't help it, colors do attract me. Here, they are not vivid, they are shinny. And so real. After that, I looked at the many reflexions that we can see. The cars, and the cars and again cars... And the poles... To tell you the truth, though I liked a lot this picture, I could not help it, to find it a bit depressing. But then, I saw YOU! Yes, you are there. And suddenly, a big smile in my face. I don't know why, but it changes the mood completely.

The colours are really moody, and uncanny to have captured the reflections
I like!

Dag Rinie,
Sfeervolle foto!
