The Moon
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A simple view of the moon but it has a lot of meaning because of the day it was taken: the first night with a sky that was not full of clouds. After a long raining and cold May the weather of the first days of June was much better in Belgium. So I finally had the opportunity to test my wife new lens. I've also used my first "real" tripod, a gift for my birthday that I've already used it during the TE Liege night meeting (see a picture) Post treatement was just a crop at 100% view. I was really impressed by the craters on it's top left side. I'm not sure it's completely full.
From wikipedia: The monthly cycle of the moon, in contrast to the annual cycle of the sun's path, has been implicitly linked to women's menstrual cycles by many cultures, although rarely explicitly stated. Many of the most well-known mythologies feature female lunar deities, such as the Greek goddesses Selene and Phoebe and their Olympian successor Artemis, their Roman equivalents Luna and Diana, or the Thracian Bendis. These cultures almost invariably featured a male sun god.
I hope you'll like it.

Beautiful moon photo. Always so hard to capture. Nice colour and clearness in your image. Well done.
