Photographer’s Note

Two weeks ago I was in the small city “Veurne” in Flemish or Dutch this is the same.

A visit to the city for the old buildings and church’s visiting, and making new pictures for TE!

This is interior picture of the "St-Walburga" church, a very beautiful interior.

I’m absolutely surprised of the lovely city, but also of the fine gastronomy, the market with the beautiful old building gives a good feeling during the strolls, with in middle office of tourism.
I’ve enjoyed, maybe you also during the visit at my picture!

Furnes is first recorded as the Roman place Furna. Around 900 AD, it is noted as a fortification against the Viking raids. On August 20, 1297, the Battle of Furnes was fought between French and Flemish forces, in the ongoing struggle between the Flemish cities and the French king.

History of the church: You can see in WS the completely description, click history
