This is the same lake portrayed in my previous upload entitle "Sunset Reflections". This time, I took the shot under the harsh early afternoon summer Sun, only I used an infrared filter on my standard Panasonic DMC-GF2, which works quite well for infrared photography. Because is an unmodified body, exposure time is quite long, in the order of several tens of seconds. Here this "limitation" helped me to render smooth and "silky" the lake's water.
During post-procession I swapped the blu and red channels so to retain color in the water and sky.
I am new of infrared photography and I'm still exploring how the world looks like under the "invisible light".
Hope you will enjoy this and all the other infrared I'll post in the future.

Andrea, this is a beautiful image. Infrared works very well here and creates a dreamy mood.

Welcome to TE
Stunning picture, and I can't believe it when I read your note "I took the shot under the harsh early afternoon summer Sun", for me it was a winter picture!
but beware, because according to TOS (terms of service) 1.ix.Infrared photos are not allowed, and so your picture could be deleted by the moderators. Several years before, it won't have stayed so long!!!
If it happens, publish the normal version and this one as a WS.
