This is another castle, in Flemish Belgium, we have not so much castles if in France, but I want of all castles make a picture, but not all owners give permission, I ask always their permission.
But this castle is of the government, free visit.

History:
Approx. 1561-1571 : the Big Map of the Liberty of the hand of Pieter Pourbus is the height of the area to see an irregular oblong blue stain. This spot may indicate a pond or at least a floodplain that is the result of years of peat mining going back at least to the 13th century .
1860-1870 : Gustavus Baron de Coninck the Merckem late on his newly acquired domain Blankaart a particularly rich eclectic castle build Nov architect Joseph Schadde ( Antwerp ) . It is an L - shaped volume of five bays and two storeys with the corners two semicircular towers and a rear extension with a neo-Gothic chapel and a higher sloping polygonal tower . Simultaneously with the construction of the castle is also a fairly hermetic castle park laid out in the English landscape style to the street stables , a coach house , a gardener , a walled kitchen garden and greenhouses .
At the end of the 19th century, the Blankaart Pond , along with the further development of the park forest , deepened and fitted with an artificial island and a decoy . In the castle park is also still a fishing lake and an icehouse built . This domain has bags were developed for on the pond with arched bridge . Already in 1900 stood near the Blankaart known as an exceptional natural area with high botanical and ornithological value because of the extensive reed beds and floating hems .
1914-1918: the castle during World War destroyed the extent that only the front left standing by the close location to the front line . Also, the forest park is heavily damaged .
1925-1929 : the castle is in a smaller and more sober version rebuilt Nov architect J. Grace ( Ostend) The general view of the castle with its two round towers , the chapel volume and polygonal tower will be respected. The park itself is not reconstructed in its original state , allowing a plurality of bags disappear.
1940-1944 : During World War II , the roof of the castle damaged . The cone-shaped spiers of the two round towers not be restored. .
