I wish every visitor an excellent health

During beginning of summer I was in Ghent, it weather was very nice, pleasant temperatures, excellent for taking a nice picture.
I stroll through the city and saw the new bridge on these old river.
A lot year ago was these river simple a parking completely close with earth.
Ghent want very gladly the waterways, again make open for pleasure boats.

A part of the history from Ghent:
In a first phase the necessary bridges were built before the wide Aardebrug, twin brother of the New Bridge and the Bavo bicycle bridge (behind the pool Van Eyck). After a few years these bridges have floated over dry ground a bit of a crazy sight, is now finally launched the next phase of this major project, namely the construction of the Scaldis Luis. The file has quite a few delays, the design of the lock was modified several times, but it seems that the operation will be soon.
The economic boom , came about in the course of the 12th century by the development of the textile industry and commerce , was soon reflected in the population growth of the city . Also, the desire for independence and expanding the territory grew. Since the beginning of the 13th century managed the city magistrate or called XXXIX town interests and caught a large area extending to which the city grew from her first fence . Surrounding areas and rural centers , extracted by digging to the authority of the abbeys and loan given to prominent families , were gradually bought and placed under the supervision of the Aldermen . It was immediately a second defense of canals , dams and fortified gates fitted to protect . The new areas However, the fence was not a contiguous whole but still mostly counting the numerous uninhabited low land that could be put . Underwater by a system of locks
