Dag John,
we staan vandaag naast elkaar met foto's die opmerkelijke overeenklomsten vertonen.
Ze zijn allebei genomen in het ochtendlicht in een bos van de lage landen en de zon speel daarin een grote rol.
Mooi hoe die stralen er door komen.

Beautiful light, and an accurate composition (I see you kept the white lines parallel to the edge).
I hink the inclusion of the car is important here.
Without it would be an empty image, despite the very good light conditions.

spectacular effect. I like the geometry of the composition with the road diagonally coming in and the sun located centrally in the frame..
Even the car makes an interesting addition here.
The rays of sun passing through the fog among the dense forest are just beautiful.

The road is sending my eyes toward the car which is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the forest. The rays of the sun have a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

The light filtering from the trees makes a fine effect, a classic! But not only that, the road with the car provides a very efficacious perspective making the image very dynamic and so alive. Your expert eyes created another masterful composition.

what i love about photography, is how subjective it is, and how different our opinions can be.
For example, i'm still not sure if i like the addition of the white lines to the far far left - not sure if its very clever, or very distracting. Distracting because the main feature of the photo should be the brilliant and beautiful rays of light peering through the trees, but those white lines to the left keep calling for visual attention from the viewer.
what do you think?
its great to have these discussions!
love the photo, i wish i could capture a scene like this.

Hello John,

You're capturing well this scape by a good composition and excellent clarity/tone, so it's impressive and interesting to see sunrays radiately inserted from between trees. It's impressive in reflections projected to the road, too. And, the car which glides over a road from the other side gives additional good effect.

la capture des rayons de lumière est fantastique, tu as attendu le meilleur moment. Par contre, l'endroit n'est pas des plus jolis. Cette route gâche un peu l'aspect nature de ces lieux.

I have long tried to get such pictures with the sunlight filtering through the trees in a radiating manner, but no success so far! You took this picture from the side of the road. The light has been well handled & the light & shadow looks attractive. Well done!

I was just at Ike’s house and we were talking about an ordinary life. How extraordinary to be able to have a normal day without anything special. Your photo reminds me of this fact of life. The photo represents simply a normal street for cars and an ordinary forest along the side. But what are extraordinary are the sun-rays coming through the foliage. You have found an extraordinary in an everyday setting. This is a discovery; it is almost like meeting nice people unexpectedly in a middle of a large city.
