Photographer’s Note

Well, there is this very small park near my house, behind the Embassy of India, you can walk through it in 15mn. Some lovely exotic trees, and some surprises on this Easter Monday spring day; I felt like a real Merline in some deep enchanted wood...:)

And the name of this place is Tenbosch - park in the woods; you will find it in the heart of Ixelles, along the Chaussée de Vleurgat and the Mélèzes street. In the past it was called Semet, like the rich botanist whom it belonged to, and you could only guess what it looked like behind its outer walls and by some green tops. Today this green space with family character consists of three lovely small hectares surrounded by a high wrought iron gate. Fifty ot its trees are to be found in the national tree survey, among them the evodia and the liquidambar.

Hi Michèle,

i must admit this portrait came as complete surprise. The lady looks like from a fairy-tale...a strange fairy-tale. So pale with green accents...Like she came from the park itself...humanized form of green flower manifestating as a most imaginitive woman. I like how she melts with the surroundings, like a surreal dream in the daylight. So fascinating, so fantastic!

il se dégage une impression particulière de ce portrait, j'hésite entre l'exentrisme ou la maladie psychiatrique , de toute façon , un portrait qui ne laisse pas indifferent.

Rare plant indeed :) Deserves all attention and to be tenderly cherished. In spite of some dangerous effects it can produce...

what a character you've found here, Michele! :)) perfect for the green-ness of the park. it looks like she(?) just stepped out form some Celtic fairy tales. my compliments on the technically perfect capture too!
