Photographer’s Note
On the Place Sainte Catherine, till yesterday night there was an funny alternative children carousel. The adolescent in the centre seems more perplexed by the animals and the mess than the younger ones.
I know that this is a messy picture. Hoping that TE will be better managed in the future and that we'll forget all the recriminations and the present mess.
And still waiting for Polonaise...
Other details with Lumix colours and a view of the church with a funny bird.
...Now in a B&W mood... probably not permanent !
Le Manège d'Andréa has been built in France by "La Machine de Nantes".

It's an interesting "alternative", Cath--maybe too scary for many of the smaller ones! You did a nice job showing it here, with your B/W tones bringing out the character of the big creature. Maybe it's not one of your best shots, because the character of the children is not really brought out--they are just "there." It's still well executed, though. Regards, Ken.

Messy, no doubt. A little bit chaos in frame...
Regards my dear friend.

Salut Catherine
A superb b&w image with a good tonal range & excellent sharpenss & contrast. The frog compartments make a humorous centre of interest. Tfs et Merci!

Hello Cath
The B&W is just perfect...I mean the tones look just like a film print. Wonderful capture of the activity especially with the big amphibian & the terse adult. Like the coloured WS, but this is excellent...reminds me of some images of Kevin (Ryan)...Superb!
Hope you had a great Christmas, Cath & yes I also hope that TE becomes a better place in the coming year!
Best Regards
Angshu

Hi Catherine,
I think all the kids look perplexed. See the baby on the far right being stuffed into one of these fish-frogs? He doesn't look all that happy.
Of course, I would prefer to ride a fish-frog than a regular carousel. It looks like H.P. Lovecraft dreamt up this thing...."The shadow over Innsmouth" come to life.
