The Liège Guillemins TGV train station, designed by Calatrava.

Perhaps you liked my different point of view of yesterday's posting, which was taken from the third floor of the abandoned ruins of a building block that is going down to make space for the new station.
If so, I posted another quite different point of view in the workshop, taken from the roof of a parking garage about 800 metres from the station.

In the main posting you see the new TGV train terminal designed by architect Santiago Calatrava from one of the side streets, exaggerating the gentle curves from this angle. I liked this one better for the main posting, since the sky has such a nice blue in it.

Il y a eu du soleil sur Liège en plein juillet et on ne m'a rien dit ! ;o)

Chouette idée de point de vue qui change l'image 'habituelle' de la gare. Domage que tu n'ai pas pu inclure la fin de la pointe à droite.
Bravo aussi pour ton post précédent.

Hi Dennis,

Thats a very interesting train station!! I like the patetrns on the roof. Quite abstract. That 18-200 VR is a cracking lens isn't it?

Graeme

hi Dennis

The structural framework shown here is a lovely feature in your composition with its lines and white stripes. Good work.

Bonsoir,

Dennis,

I really enjoyed the series of your shot of the train station. The architecture is very nice and sharpe with really great details, What I like with many of them is the sbstract art quality of the shots the lines the curves that created very interesting abstraction and composition. some can be turn into a modern art painting. I should try one using your photo as an inspiration, one day.
