Fresco "The work of the wool in Verviers" (1984)

The fresco, begun in 1984, represents the work of the wool.

15 meters long, 2 meters high, made on a semi-circular wall covered with ceramic tiles, this achievement ornemantale remember that water, wool and men's work made once the wealth and reputation in Verviers world.

The fresco work of Roland Materne, stages: the Drapers, the gatherers of urine, the workers responsible for sorting the wool, the merchant ploquette, all operating in a world populated by machines, shuttle ...

A good capture of this street art. I like the point of view looking over the shoulders of the man, who contributes much to the mood as does the sky. Very good light and colours; great clarity.

Beautiful photo, excellent capture of this fresco, but not just that! Great architecture photo, and also a beautiful, althought quite melancholice scene, with the lonely man sitting on the bench!
